After long debates the Florida State Championship has been scheduled. September 17-19th is the date. With only a short time to get everything together, Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club has agreed to host the match in the 3rd week of September 2010. The match is predicted to have a new platform using volunteers from many of the Florida clubs to design, build and manage stages. Gulf Coast Lead Slingers and WAC Action Pistol Club have agreed to three of the stages and other clubs will be asked to enter their designs as well. Having only two and a half months is ambitious but with the experience from all the clubs that usually pull together it should be a challenge for all. Get your application in soon so you can pick your date and squad. Click here for the Application

It's been a long time coming but it's finally here. This new website is the next step to promoting all our clubs and providing a central website to share news, events, calendars and more. With this website all six of our clubs will be able to announce events and promote thier clubs. Input from all the clubs will build a wealth of information that we can all benefit from.

We are looking for people to input information about the various clubs. Events, calendars and general information needs to be posted. This information will help everyone attend the different matches and events going on locally. If you have any interest in helping please create a login and contact Jay Corn at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Florida Section RO class near St. Augustine PDF Print E-mail

Jim Tice, from Jacksonville, is working to put together a USPSA Level 1 RO course. This would give a person a Certified USPSA Range Officer designation. In order to have the class he needs 20 people and this os often hard to get at one time. Although the date is not set Jim needs to know those who are interested and willing to attend. When there are enough people, a date will be arranged.

We need more ROs in our area and this class is great for understanding the rules of the game. So many of us get the rules from local range rules and how a local match is run but these matches can often lead to confusion when you get to a sanctioned match. Having a CRO certificate also will help larger matches in our area. Many times you can volunteer as an RO and shoot for free. Please help out and get your CRO certification.

Call and get your name on the list. Even if you cannot attend the first one your name will be kept for future classes. Contact Jim Tice at 904-797-3296
